I would enjoy the conversation.

No long intake forms. Just reach out through whichever channel suits you best and tell me a bit about your situation. I respond to every message personally.

What to include in your message

You do not need to write an essay. But a few lines of context go a long way. It helps to know:

1
What you are working on -- or the role you are hiring for. A brief description is enough.
2
Why you are reaching out now -- what is prompting the conversation at this point?
3
What you are hoping to get from the conversation -- an initial call, a proposal, a quick sanity check. Any of these are fine.

Not sure if it is a fit?

That is exactly why you should reach out. The honest answer to "is Geoff the right person for this" is often something we can only work out in a short conversation. I am direct, I do not waste your time, and if I am not the right fit I will tell you -- and I may well be able to point you toward someone who is.
